Having now returned from my late summer travels in Romagna. I’m pleased to say it was a month of deep immersion and unexpected creativity, filling me with great energy for the time ahead.
Much of my time was spent with our adventurous and inspiring Esperienza travelers as we explored the region and co-created so many beautiful moments together during our new Art, Cuisine and Language tours.
In between the tours, I spent some valuable time in Cesena, staying with my painter friend, Carlo Cola at his unusually colorful, flower-filled home. While Carlo prepared for his upcoming studio exhibit, I met with friends, foodies, and other artists, looking for new ideas and emerging trends in Romagna.
Though I only lived in Romagna for a few years, I still have dear friends there, and it was wonderful to reconnect with them, and enjoy the little details of daily life together. At the same time, I experienced the magic of being close to great art in all its dimensionality and complexity, past and present. This intersection of life and art inspired me yet again, opening still more new doors, and reinforcing my conviction that Romagna is the place for great personal discoveries.
This gift of immersion, of intentionally seeking and connecting with people who actively transform their love for the land into honest (and extraordinary) food, wine and exceptional art stays with me and infuses my autumn and winter days with joy. It gives me great pleasure to share this gift with those who joined us in Romagna, both in May and September.
This is what Esperienza is all about: bringing people together and creating delightful, unusual, novel experiences, awakening the vitality in all of us.
Please enjoy the autumn colors, and stay tuned for our upcoming online open house later this month, as well as our virtual visits with artists, artisans, vintners and bread makers, resuming in November, as we continue to immerse you in the treasures of Romagna.
