About Esperienza

Esperienza, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit travel organization, was created to offer a new kind of tourism, which not only nurtures and inspires travelers, but also celebrates and sustains the local communities we visit. Esperienza focuses on slow, immersive, meaningful travel experiences in selected villages and small towns in Romagna, Italy. In addition, we support a variety of charitable projects in rural Romagna.

Esperienza financially contributes to the region via:

  • Focus on independent chefs, farmers, artisans and small businesses.

  • Donation of sustaining funds for cultural vitality in The World of Tonino Guerra Museum and other cultural organizations.

  • Support for biodiversity through Isabella dalla Ragione’s Archeologia Arborea Foundation

  • Direct donations to local nonprofits to help rural communities affected by the 2023 floods. We also donated directly to 4 artists in Faenza who lost their studios due the unprecedented floods.

  • Planting trees in the Sasso Simone e Simoncello regional park, to assure our tours are carbon neutral.
